A letter by the Head of Carfax Educational Projects, Mr. Matthew Goldie-Scot, published in the Times Higher Education today. The letter suggests a system for the UKBA to implement, whereby institutions sponsoring students for immigration purposes will have control over which documents these students use to support their visa applications. This will allow to cut down on visa refusal rates significantly while discouraging bogus applications. Mr. Goldie-Scot's is a win-win-win suggestion for the students, the sponsoring institutions, and the UKBA. Download PDF. |
