Dr. Victoria JeffersonAcademic Registrar, Oxford
Victoria coordinates the academic courses that are offered by the Tutorial Establishment. She is careful to match pupils with just the right tutors and to put together an effective course structure for each individual. She monitors the quality of tuition closely and is the main point of contact for parents on academic matters.

Victoria has a range of teaching experience. She has tutored undergraduates at Oxford, and worked as an Associate Lecturer for the Open University. Prior to joining Carfax, she worked for Oxford University’s Department of Education, organizing and delivering introductory teaching courses for graduates and research staff at the University.

Victoria’s academic background is in archaeology. After obtaining a first-class undergraduate degree from Liverpool University, she completed a doctorate at the University of Oxford, examining colonialism in Southern France during the Iron Age.

Victoria likes to keep up to date with developments in the world of archaeology and is working in her free time towards producing a popular book on the subject of her doctoral thesis.

Miss Kathleen Bull – Administrator, St. Petersburg
Kathleen studied at St Mary’s Ascot before going on to study Russian at Edinburgh University. She has lived in Moscow and Bordeaux in the past and speaks both French and Russian. She has a Trinity TESOL Teaching Certificate and has experience tutoring both children and adults. She is also a dedicated member of the Order of Malta Volunteers in the UK and has previously occupied a position on their organisational committee.

Miss Joanne EdwardsAcademic Registrar, Moscow
Joanne studied Russian at the University of Nottingham and spent a year studying at the Moscow Humanities University and at Petrozavodsk State University. She is member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists and has a Diploma in Translation. She is also a CELTA qualified English teacher. She has lived in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan.

Mrs. Jeanne SpoeriAcademic Director, Monaco
Originally from Chicago, Jeanne first left the States to teach English as a Second Language with the Peace Corps in Morocco. Bitten by the travel bug, she went on to Paris to earn an MA in French and an MS in business administration from the Sorbonne University. Jeanne, - who has taught ESL, writing, and communication at both universities and corporations -founded and managed the ESL department of a private business school in Monaco for over a decade before joining Carfax Education Monaco in her current position of Academic Director. During her free time Jeanne can be found sailing, gardening, and hiking.
